Paul Davis Restoration - Paul Davis Left A Disaster
I had a water pipe break in the bathroom wall, saturated the basement. The water went from the bathroom down the hall and into the two bedrooms.
A plumber came right out and fixed it the next day after the damage was done. Finally we get Paul Davis on the job. They come out do an estimation and we didn't hear back for three days. They come back to remove the damaged materials, dry wall carpet, toilet, vanity, washer and dryer.
They took all the doors down and all the trimming. They then stuffed all this stuff into both bedrooms in such a way that we had no where to sleep. They threw our personal belongings into a corner with no care for the stuff. They then tell me they are sealing off the basement, normal stuff and, that we would not be able to sleep down there.
My son and I had no choice but to sleep on the living room floor for three days. They return after three days and tell me that every thing is dry and they removing their equipment. They then told me they were done with the job. These people left me with a disaster, not repairs.
It took about two weeks to get through all the insurance papers and Paul Davis came back on the job. A contractor came out, did the measuring and calculations then said we will be back. They took the money and were scheduled to be here in three days. They don't show, so we fired them.
By now it has been a month that we had to live in this mess they left behind. The crew was rude, inconsiderate and lacked basic skills in damage removal.

Hi, We are also in a Paul Davis nightmare. We would like to fire them but they are making all kinds of breaking contract threats.
Can I ask if there was ever any resolution from them? Thanks!
How do we know you aren't a packrat and Paul Davis and his rather reputable crew had no room in which to work? To be fair, some pictures would have helped bolster your case here.
It's conceivable that you had your collection of every Popular Mechanic magazine from 1973 stacked haphazardly in the crew's way. That would not make for a conducive work environment. Also, the unpleasant odor of the home could have accounted for why they did not promptly return.
Paul has to pay his folks extra for when the entirety of the work environment smells of a rhinoceros's rectum. Hope that helps!
